My flight landed almost an hour ahead of schedule. I was happy about this for 2 reasons: 1. It was not a very smooth flight so I was happy to be on land again. 2. I now had more time to get to the train and get to my hostel. The latest I could check in was 22:00.
It took a while to get through immigration. I guess I don’t look the same as I did in 2004. I got held in a room and had about 4 people come compare my face to my passport. They finally asked if I had any other form of Identification. I showed them my driver’s license and they let me go. Got through customs without incident and I was on my way to the train.

I only had to travel 1 or 2 stops to the station nearest the hostel I had booked. I had printed out a map of the route to the hostel since I knew that I would not have service with my phone. I found it with out any issues, but was pretty anxious until I actually saw it.

I ended up getting pretty lucky and was given a private room. The first thing I did was enter the WiFi password on my phone so I could message my beautiful lady. We had decided we were going to use WhatsApp for texting and Tango for calling. I let her know I had made it safely then took a quick shower.

After we finished messaging/talking I headed out to the nearest convenience store, Family Mart, to grab some food. I saw a good amount of nice looking restaurants on my walk from the train station, but I just needed enough food in me to sleep comfortably. I made sure I had something from each of the 4 food groups.

I was exhausted. I didn’t even finish my beer. I had been awake for at least 24 hours. Over half of that time was spent in transit. I layed down and knocked out very fast.
